We are excited to partner with KNDS Canada in their search for a finance manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with KNDS Group standards.
- Prepare and control cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity and financial stability.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including consolidation reporting and coordination with external auditors.
- Prepare and present financial statements, KPIs, and variance analyses to leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and audit requirements.
- Lead the development and monitoring of the annual budget, business plans, and financial forecasts.
- Control capital expenditures (Capex), inventory, loans, and insurance, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, External Accounting, and Purchasing.
- Manage banking relationships and maintain oversight of corporate financing activities.
- Support internal process optimization, including definition and implementation of lean and scalable procedures.
- Conduct pricing calculations for external offers and support financial analysis for bids, proposals, and new business opportunities.
- Handle intercompany transactions and reporting within the KNDS Group.
- Support the Board and executive team with financial insights, scenario modeling, and strategic recommendations.
- Negotiate with suppliers, verify and approve payments, and ensure adherence to cost control measures.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required for audits, meetings, and group reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA designation strongly preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial tools such as QuickBooks, Power BI, and other similar tools.
- Experience in defense, aerospace, manufacturing, or government contracting is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required.
- Available immediately or on short notice.
