This role is located in Iroquois, Ontario, which is 1 hour south of Ottawa. The role is a Work from Office role in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
As the Manufacturing Equipment Programming Specialist-Prime, Inspection Equipment, you will be responsible for programming automated manufacturing production equipment. This position is directly responsible for the programming of assembly production inspection equipment. This includes process documentation, training requirement definition and performance management of our placement equipment programming processes. Attention to detail, ability to work with others and a broad manufacturing process knowledge are key assets for this role.

Some of the things you will work on:
- Create programs for automated inspection equipment: SPI, AOI, and X-Ray
- Provide support for programming SMT placement machines, screen printers and automated press
- Evaluate engineering change orders and update machine programs as required
- Monitor key performance metrics associated with automated equipment programming, troubleshooting issues where required to ensure metrics are within defined control limits
- Define and maintain procedures for programming activities of automated equipment
- Ensure appropriate training plans are in place and maintained for machine programming processes
- Manage continuous improvement initiatives to support ongoing innovation in equipment programming strategies
- Assist with new equipment implementation
You should have:
- Post secondary education or equivalent manufacturing work experience
- Experience programming equipment & providing shop floor support
- Experience with CAD, and advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project.
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing, procedures and lifecycle processes along with bills of material and schematics
- Ability to complete assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision with attention to detail & accuracy
- Effective communication, verbal, planning, negotiation, organizational and interpersonal skills
